As we ease into spring, many of us are lacing up the sneakers and tuning up our bikes. We know we should gradually get back into it and slowly increase our exercise frequency and mileage. But our sun-fueled enthusiasm usually gets the better of us.

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to take my oldest son to the doctor’s office. As a mother of three children, the opportunity to go to the doctor presents itself on a fairly regular basis.
